Hi, all.
So, some of you already are aware of the audio issues I experienced with the Microsoft Surface Pro 3, but for those of you who do not know, here's what happened:
When there was any inactivity, at least for 5 or 6 seconds,
Jaws would cut off half of the word, for example, start menu, would sound like art menu. After returning the surface, and trying another one, the same bug exists. This is sad, because I miss these devices. I went with a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro, which for $1299, seemed on the expensive side really. Anyone know why this bug is present?
I don't, but I imagine has something to do with your sound driver. I had this exact same problem on my recent Dell, but only if I had music on, but paused. If all music software was turned off, or if music was playing, it never happened. Really frustrating when reading documents. For me it took less than a second for jaws to do that after inactivity.
It be a brand new machine. If I were having issues such as you describe.
First, I'd call the techsupport, or take it back to the store I purchased it and ask them to look at it.
If they determen there's nothing wrong, I'd ask Freedom Scientific about it.
I'd personally not put up with flaws on a brand new device.
Why do you spend your money? You are purchasing something that is reliable.
If your money is spent, and your product isn't reliable, return it.
I have my Lenovo, it's reliable. The tech support people couldn't figure out anything was wrong. So.. My Lenovo is reliable; haven't had a problem with it.
